Ferretti Motor Yacht Dramatic new hull windows bring the ocean aboard Ferretti’s latest.

New & Notable: Worldly Views

Ferretti 83
The debut of the Ferretti 830 at this fall’s Cannes Boat Show marks an exciting new direction in hull styling for Ferretti Yachts. Each of the fiberglass motor yacht’s sleek hull sides features four large rectangular fixed windows and two small opening ports that bring intimate water views and fresh ocean breezes into the owners’ stateroom and bath.

While the 830’s entire layout demonstrates a clever and efficient use of space, the master suite is the yacht’s real showpiece. Located amidships on the lower deck, it runs the full width of the yacht’s 20-foot, six-inch maximum beam. A queen-size bed is located in the center of the suite, facing the port-side hull window array. The starboard hull windows are set into the  wall of a large double shower room, which is separated from the owners’ sleeping quarters by a glass-lined corridor. Thanks to this innovative design, the owners can see out through all the windows from anywhere in the cabin. And by opening the smaller portholes, they can enjoy the sea air while in the shower – or, if preferred, from an optional hydro-massage spa. Electric blinds lend privacy while in port.

The large, L-shaped owners’ bathroom has twin sinks mounted in a white marble counter, a raised toilet and bidet area closed off by a sliding door, and entries at either end. Two closets – one a walk-in – plus a daybed, vanity and a full entertainment system with flat-screen television round out the owners’ accommodations.

Forward of the master suite, two twin guest staterooms lie on opposite sides of the corridor leading to the VIP stateroom in the bow. This generously proportioned cabin has a queen-size berth on centerline, vanity, built-in seat and walk-in closet. All three guest cabins incorporate heads with showers, teak floors and marble counters.
