The first impression upon stepping aboard 55-meter Amnesia, the second foray by
builder Benetti into the large, full-displacement market, is of the yacht’s
enormous volume. Much of this palatial scale is due to the yacht’s 34-foot-plus
beam. But also contributing are the large spaces, wide transition areas, and
acres of cream-colored carpeting. Nothing breaks the ample vistas. Stefano
Natucci enhanced the luxuriousness by specifying white lacquered ceilings, which
with the cream carpets elegantly frame the cherry joinery. One of Amnesia’s
stunning features is her enormous, split-level main deck master suite, which
includes a raised, private observation lounge. She also sports an exceptional
flybridge gymnasium and spa, including a plunge pool. Built for both private use
and an aggressive chartering program, Amnesia incorporates an intelligent
traffic plan to maximize crew function, as well as ample crew quarters, service
areas and storage. A large garage provides tender stowage, but also plenty of
room for water toys, diving and fishing equipment.
