How about a 202-footer for your first solo contract? Mick Leach took it in
stride and drew an extremely detailed yacht for a client who unfortunately had
to leave the project in mid-construction. What could have been a huge
disappointment turned golden for Leach and the yard as the yacht quickly drew
the attention of a new owner ready for his first boat. While all the broad
strokes were perfect, the new owner encouraged Leach and Amels to step up the
finish quality yet another notch. The result is a spectacular yacht with a bold,
masculine interior featuring a two-deck open master suite, complex joinery by
Struik & Hamerslag, an unforgettable foyer and atrium staircase, and even a
hidden passage to the guest accommodation for late night revelers. Hidden behind
