The epitome of a modern, fast-cruising sailing yacht, Syl breaks new ground in
styling, creative use of space and imaginative use of technology and materials.
Her uncluttered teak decks appear even larger thanks to an ingenious hard top
that rises hydraulically out of the cockpit coamings, allowing the cockpit to
function as part of a lean, open sailing machine by day, and as a comfortable
and protected venue in port or at anchor. Remarkably engineered titanium cleats
rotate when not needed and lock unobtrusively into the deck rail. All exposed
metal on deck is custom-made in titanium. Accommodation space is cleverly
divided into four generous, equal-size forward staterooms. The décor is
minimalist, but with a modernist touch. Surfaces are unadorned but colorful and
employ a variety of materials to add interest and beauty. The dramatic full-beam
aft crew area encompasses an enormous, pretty and useful space for all service
functions.
