Best Motor Yacht Interior ~ Phoenix
Phoenix motor yacht
Phoenix motor yacht

Phoenix has more novel interior ideas than you might expect to find in a season’s worth of launches; all beautifully and harmoniously executed. A 200-foot yacht with a 40-foot beam could be as intimate as an auditorium, yet Andrew Winch divided the acreage into spaces suiting human scale and dedicated ample room to crew pathways. Two pieces of fabulous hardware unite the yacht’s living areas – a complex, floating, ovoid staircase with a museum-quality stainless steel balustrade and a six-passenger elevator employing trompe l’oeil with marble and mirrors to look even larger. The French Deco theme is borne out by Loher’s flawless interior joinery and built-in ebony period furnishings. The design for the owner’s two-story suite forward, complete with sun deck, is sure to be copied. It gives an owner couple plenty of privacy without denying guests use of a deck. Two more features lift Phoenix to the head of her class: the theater with its spectacular vaulted ceiling – a fresh alternative to cavernous media rooms – and the rotating piano atrium, dividing, or not, the salon and dining room.
