Churchill Yacht Partners opened its new Fort Lauderdale location at the Radisson Bahia Mar Resort on Seabreeze Boulevard. Simpson Marine expands its Asian presence with two new offices in Thailand, one at the Ocean Marine Yacht Club in Jomtein and the other at the Boat Lagoon in Phuket. The new locations will focus on the growing Thai market and will complement operations in neighboring countries. Continuing its strategic expansion plans, International Yacht Collection opened offices in Monaco and Palm Beach, Florida. Both offer full-service brokerage, charter and management services. In other news, Mark Elliott was again named the company’s "Broker of the Year." His 2004 sales include 228-foot Aussie Rules (renamed Floridian) and 172-foot Big Eagle. More recently, Mark sold 155-foot Christensen Liquidity, which enters the IYC charter fleet renamed One More Toy. In addition, Jim Eden’s 81st new-build project, a 144-foot Metalnave tri-deck motor yacht, is under construction in southern Brazil by Itajai Shipyard, a Metalnave company. On the heels of openings in Mexico, Greece and Turkey, Fort Lauderdale-based 4Yacht Inc. recently entered the Russian market. 4Yacht and UA-Marine have established a partnership whereby UA-Marine will represent 4Yacht in Russian-speaking territories. The alliance provides Russian clients with all of 4Yacht’s comprehensive services, as well as full access to a huge number of luxury yacht listings worldwide. Visit www.4yacht.com.

Broker Curtis Stokes and central agent Bruce Schattenburg of The Sacks Group’s brokerage division teamed up for the sale of the 108-foot Broward On Seafari. The buyer took advantage of the company’s unique "Try Before You Buy Program" and chartered the vessel prior to acceptance. The offices of Moran Yacht & Ship remain active with the sale of two central listings: 131-foot Palmer Johnson Inevitable and H&H, a 154-foot Hakvoort; and the signing of a 281-foot motor yacht new-build project. Moran Yacht & Ship is the exclusive worldwide central agent for Phoenix, a 201-foot Lürssen, one of the most technologically advanced yachts currently for sale. Yacht management company YachtWise has contracted with Cheoy Lee Shipyards to build an 84-foot luxury motor yacht specifically designed to operate under fractional yacht ownership. Bob Reneau, sales and marketing manager for Cheoy Lee, states, "Rather than just taking a floor plan from an existing yacht, we have redesigned the vessel specifically for the needs of YachtWise’s fractional program. This will be a truly unique and very comfortable yacht for its owners." YachtWise is managing the build and marketing ownership opportunities. Koch, Newton & Partners’ new construction contracts include five 127-foot tri-deck yachts at CMI (Custom Marine International). The five comprise two aluminum hulls, two fiberglass and one steel. In addition, broker Rob Newton signed a new-build contract with Trinity Yachts for the construction of a 161-foot tri-deck motor yacht for a U.S. client. Visit www.kochnewton.com.
