Feadship has teamed with Monocle to offer fractional ownership.
February 2006

  • The 200-foot Feadship Lioness was sold through Merle Wood & Associates, as was the 150-foot DeFoe-built Fulmara. New central agency yachts offered for sale by the brokerage include 185-foot Oceanfast Sycara III and 164-foot Amels Teddy. Contact mail@merlewood.com

  • Monocle Fractional Yachts has partnered with Feadship to offer an ownership program for newly designed yachts from the Dutch builder, an arrangement that will allow buyers to enjoy one of the well-respected vessels without the hassle and cost of year-round maintenance. The ownership arrangement is created as a limited liability company centered on the yacht, with space for up to 10 owners. The owners then outsource the day-to-day management to the Monocle program. Monocle’s services include crew screening and human resources, provisioning, insurance and global repositioning. Visit www.monocleyachts.com

  • Intrinsic Yacht & Ship has been named the exclusive East Coast representative for San Juan Yachts. The traditionally styled motor yachts, known for their seamless combination of innovative technology and modern construction methods, will be on display at this year’s Miami International Boat Show, after touring Newport, Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale. Intrinsic also provides clients with yacht management services. Visit www.intrinsicyacht.com

  • The mid-sized steel-and-aluminum expedition vessel built by Moloka’i Strait will make its Mediterranean debut through a partnership with Antema Yachting in Bergamo, Italy. Antema specializes in new construction and sales of full-displacement steel yachts. Moloka’i Strait currently builds five models at 58, 60, 68, 75 and 86 feet. Designed by Eric Sponberg to be managed by a short crew, Moloka’i’s vessels have round full-displacement hulls for easy motion and transoceanic range. The new MS-75 Hercules will be on display at the Miami International Boat Show. Visit www.molokaistrait.com

  • Wally recently added a 148-foot sloop to its crowded order book. Commissioned by an experienced client, the vessel features lines from Tripp Design, with interiors and styling from Eidsgaard Design. The Wally 148 will be built at the Wally Europe shipyard in Fano, Italy, with advanced composite technology and pre-peg carbon. Scheduled for a late 2007 launch, the new Wally 148 is the sixth sailing yacht currently under construction at Wally Europe. Visit www.wally.com

  • Yachting Partners International is now offering 86-foot Benetti Acacia of the Seychelles for sale. Corti Seas, a Leopard 24, is also on the market through YPI. Visit www.ypi.co.uk

  • Alert to a lack of specialist yacht brokerage services in the 25- to 40-meter semi-custom and production motor yacht market, Nigel Burgess launched OceanStyle Yachting. The sales team at OceanStyle has been busy this past year with new California contracts on a number of yachts—testament to the need for this service—including a 32-meter Canados, several Azimuts and a 42-meter Admiral.

In other brokerage news from Nigel Burgess, the company’s offices in New York and London recently handled the sales of 61-meter Feadship Lioness and 90-meter Lürssen Air. Visit www.nigelburgess.com, www.osyachting.com
