  • The Sacks Group has several new additions to its charter fleet for the 2006 season. The most recent is 130-foot Oceanfast Christine. Recently refitted, the yacht cruises the Bahamas and the Caribbean year round. Westship’s 106-foot motor yacht Maryann is now available in the Caribbean this winter and Alaska for the summer. The third new yacht spending the winter in the Caribbean with Sacks is 94-foot Perfect Vision. The Sunseeker will travel to the Mediterranean for the summer. Visit www.sacksyachts.com

  • Held at the Monaco Yacht Club by Fraser Yachts Worldwide, the 2005 Best Charter Captain Competition drew a crowd of more than 60 captains. This year’s award, along with a Blancpain Aqualung timepiece, went to Captain Aaron Clarke of M/Y Four Wishes. Charter broker Diane Fraser commended the captain as "an absolute pleasure, who has not only provided clients with outstanding service, but has done so with a smile." The award is given based on votes from the charter guests. Other winners include the crew of the M/Y Passion for best charter crew on a boat over 40 meters, and the crew of the M/Y Freemont, winners of the best charter crew on a boat under 40 meters. • The latest central agency charter listing from Nigel Burgess is the 178-foot motor yacht Talisman C from Proteksan-Turquoise, due for delivery early this year. The eclectic and elegant yacht with interiors from H2 Yacht Design will accommodate 12 guests. She will be available for select charters during her inaugural season in the Mediterranean. The company is also offering winter charters in Central America aboard the 127-foot Alloy Yachts build S.Q.N. Formerly the private yacht of Alloy’s chairman, this yacht will be in Costa Rica in early winter and in Belize during March. Visit www.nigelburgess.com
