Kiwi Composite Builder Expands into Australia with Semi-custom Lines.
Waterfront: A New Sensation

Established in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1978, Sensation Yachts made a name for itself in the big custom yacht market by pioneering the technology behind the world’s first resin-infused vessel longer than 150 feet. Recently, Sensation supplemented its offerings with semi-custom boats from 95 feet to 178 feet, marketed as the Volare, the Allegro and the Heritage series. To meet demand, the builder will open Sensation Australia at the former ADI naval shipyard, a complex with state-of-the-art marine building facilities. This new site will focus on building resin-infused vessels, including custom builds up to 200 feet, and a newly developed line of production sports boats from 95 feet to 135 feet. It will also handle refit work. The yard will be fully operational in December.
