First Ever Mobile Fine Art Gallery Begins Construction.
Waterfront: Art Afloat

Once completed, 228-foot Grand Luxe will be the world’s first and only megayacht-based art and antiques gallery. Conceived by David and Lee Ann Lester of Expoships in Naples, Florida, the endeavor, called SeaFair, will exhibit a rotating roster of 26 international art and antique dealers on a yearlong voyage along the Eastern seaboard of the United States. Stopping in 34 ports from Florida to Massachusetts, SeaFair aims at bringing the gallery directly to collectors’ seasonal residences rather than requiring them to travel to visit important galleries. Grand Luxe was designed by Luiz de Basto and will be built by Nichols Brothers Boatyard in Washington. Naval architecture is from DeJong and Lebet.
