Seminar Brings Benetti Skippers Together.

Some 40 skippers of 30-meter-plus yachts attended Azimut-Benetti’s
annual Yachtmasters event in April, held at the Grand Hotel des Alpes in the ski
resort of Chamonix, France. Aimed at promoting the Benetti Group and educating
its captains, the event also included two days of socializing and skiing.
Participating captains included Alf Grell of 50m QM of London, Peter Evans of 86m Kingdom 5KR, Jean-Pierre Arnal of 50m Multiple,
Dario Savino of 45m More and Louis Rich of 50m Lionheart.

After presentations by Benetti and Fincantieri management, guest
speakers included Dr. Fiona Mair (First Call) on medical procedures at sea;
Sebastian Allebrodt (Idea) on integrated yacht management software; Claude
Hamilton (MCA) on regulations governing helicopter use; Lorenzo Pollicardo
(UCINA) on Italian flag options; Mark Woodward (ASEA) on power management
systems; Paolo Guidali (Caterpillar) on new Cat engine technology; Anthony
Canella (VT Naiad) and Iñigo Echenique (Stabtech Systems) on their respective
zero-speed stabilization systems; Clemens van de Werf (Dockwise) on yacht
transportation, and Bert Nieuwnhausen (Boero) on perfecting paint
finish.
