A
semi-displacement tri-deck built entirely of aluminum, Mondomarine’s 40-meter
(131-foot) Fabri’s falls in the middle
of the company’s 31- to 50-meter range of custom motor yachts. She is similar in
design and performance to Blue Belle, which launched
in 2003, and for good reason. The same team created both: Cor D. Rover for the
exterior styling, Sydac for the naval architecture and Luca Dini for the
interior design. Fabri’s is fully MCA
compliant and RINA classified as 100 A1.1 Y.

Her interior décor is soberly refined, and the cherry-and-burl
joinery is traditional without being heavy. The main lounge and dining room set
the tone for the rest of the yacht with Bordeaux soft furnishings, cream leather
chairs and matching carpet. Crenellated detailing on the cabinets and ebony
inlay in the coffee and dining tables provide highlights. Four large windows on
either side provide ample light, and 10 guests can comfortably sit around the

The owner’s suite forward on the main deck has eight windows
and takes full advantage of the yacht’s 8.4-meter beam. The his-and-hers
bathroom has Portuguese rose marble-topped surfaces and cherry parquet
flooring—the same as all the bathrooms, including those for crew. Belowdecks,
two VIP suites feature elegant, padded silk wall panels in shades of green and
cream. There are also identical twin single guest rooms.
The main, upper and top decks all offer spaces for alfresco
dining. A dumbwaiter travels between the professional Schiffini galley and the
fly deck, where the bar and dining areas are protected by the roll
bar.
