Waterfront: A Meter, But So Much More

Evolving its Codecasa 50 design, the Viareggio yard recently launched its first full-displacement 51-meter motor yacht, Iliki VIII, for owner Dr. Roc Jack Mazreku, an Albanian businessman and the managing director of the Port of Lavagna. It is his fourth Codecasa.

The extra meter provides more garage space and a longer main deck aft. It also lends a sleeker profile to the yacht’s steel hull and aluminum superstructure.

The Lloyds Maltese Cross 100 A1 classified and fully MCA compliant vessel is powered by twin 2,260-hp Caterpillars for a maximum speed of 17.5 knots and a range of 4,600 nautical miles cruising at 14 knots.

In-house architects Franco and Anna Dellarole designed the interior. To suit the owner’s taste for things Oriental, the team used a mix of Tanganyika, rosewood and briarwood. In addition to the owner’s suite, there is accommodation for 10 guests in three double and two twin cabins.

The second hull in this new series is already under construction.
