Waterfront: Able Italian

CRN’s latest launch is the 54-meter steel-and-aluminum motor yacht Ability. She is the first collaboration between Zuccon International Project and CRN. Ability’s atypical layout includes a lower-deck "beach" that deploys from the stern for easy water access and a gymnasium-cum-spa that transforms with a moveable crystal panel.

The Greek Cypriot owner opted for an art-deco décor with imperial overtones, featuring eight different veneers, Versace lamps, Ralph Lauren couches and a Steinway baby grand piano. The sophistication continues in the owner’s quarters with crocodile-skin couches, luxuriant cushions in mink, fox and hare, plus stressed-leather inlays on the doors. The main-deck suite also includes a private study and an outdoor terrace on the starboard side. Four guest rooms—two doubles and two twin singles—are on the lower deck. The upper deck houses the skylounge, a VIP suite and a pantry for al fresco dining around the 12-seater table.

But it is on the fly deck that Ability’s impressive volumes can be fully appreciated: 130 square meters of dining area, bar, pool and lounges that can be removed for the helipad. Two Caterpillar 3512B engines produce a 14-knot cruise and 15-knot top speed. A 54-meter sistership is already under construction, and a 60-meter GiVi vessel is due next summer.
