Dutch shipyard Amels, a member of the Damen Shipyards Group, has announced the delivery of Deniki, the first in its Limited Editions Amels 171 semi-custom series.

The Limited Editions series was introduced at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2005 with a model, preliminary data and drawings. Tim Heywood drew her exterior and Laura Sessa styled her interior. Within months, several of the new models were sold. Deniki was delivered to her new owner in just over 14 months from the contract’s signing.

The basic parameters of the 171 series and its larger cousin, the 212, introduced at last year’s yacht show in Monaco, are set by the shipyard, but there is ample room for clients to customize the design. Deniki’s owner chose to have his home architect create a fully customized, extravagant, darkly whimsical mood below, in contrast to Sessa’s light, contemporary styling.
