Waterfront: Brazilian Baby
Buccaneer cruising yachts debuts Expedition Series at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Buccaneer 65
From her launch at Brazil’s INACE Shipyard to her debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the new Buccaneer 65 put her long-range capability to the test. Traveling on her own bottom, the full-displacement aluminum yacht navigated the 15-day, 3,220-nm trip to arrive in pristine condition.

Janusz Leczynski, Buccaneer CEO, drew on his strong engineering background to design an easily maintained expedition yacht that includes the attention to detail expected of a luxury vessel. With a generous 19-foot beam and ingenious storage spaces, the Buccaneer commands all of her 65 feet. She shows her Brazilian roots clad in Amazonian freijo, a wood similar to teak in appearance. The salon’s overhead handrail hints at her bluewater nature while the granite bar facing the galley points to her more refined side. She also features a full-beam master, two ensuite guest staterooms and aft-deck alfresco dining. For the owner-operator, the flybridge control station and semi-circular settee combine work and play in the open air.
