Waterfront: Broader Horizons

Following almost two years of construction, the first Horizon Premier 130 was launched over the winter and is headed for North America. The yacht, the largest ever built in Taiwan, was designed by Canadian Greg Marshall and Florida-based stylist J.C. Espinosa. Espinosa is responsible for her interior design as well. Christened Miss Rose, the new 130 has a pair of master staterooms, one forward and the other aft on the skydeck. Her three guest staterooms, as well as her crew quarters, occupy the forward area of the lower deck.

All the yacht’s materials and equipment were selected from well-known manufacturers. She was built to Det Norske Veritas classification and has MCA LY2 code compliance. Her twin 1,825-hp Caterpillar diesels propel her to a top speed of 18 knots. Her range at 14 knots is 1,400 nautical miles, or 3,300 at 11 knots.
