French yard launches first of 58-meter series.

Waterfront: CMN's Largest

CMN 190
French builder CMN launched its largest yacht to date in February, the 58-meter (190-foot) Netanya 8. The yacht was created jointly by CMN Yacht Division and Andrew Winch Designs. She is based on CMN’s 50-meter Bermie II and is the prototype of a new 58- to 60-meter series.

With a displacement in excess of 1,020 gross tons, Netanya 8 offers large volumes of accommodations including an owner’s suite, a VIP with a private balcony and five guest cabins. Winch’s design provides for a wide range of options and maximizes the yard’s naval architecture potential. Her staterooms accommodate an MCA-compliant party of 12. Her deck spaces include an air-conditioned alfresco glazed area on the bridge deck, a gymnasium, and a Jacuzzi and sun pads on the sun deck. The open-plan sun deck can be arranged for any owner’s requirement. Her full-beam skylounge opens onto the aft deck and provides a panoramic view of the yacht’s surroundings.

The owner’s suite has large windows, an elegant walkaround arrangement, his-and-hers bathrooms and a private sitting room with full-height side windows and stairs that lead up to a raised private observation lounge with great views forward. "The best-ever view of the sea is a key feature of our design," says Winch.

Netanya 8’s hull is steel and her superstructure is aluminum. She is propelled by a pair of Caterpillar 3516 diesels and is fitted with Quantum ZeroSpeed stabilizers. Her top speed is 15.5 knots.
