The 47-meter Heesen Yalla deceives the eye; her sleek lines belie her true nature. Beneath her curvy transom, flared bow and modern superstructure lies a full-displacement, round-bilge steel hull. Her hull speed is a respectable 16 knots, but she’s certainly not the greyhound she appears.
"She’s very stylish," says Thom Conboy, Heesen’s director of sales. "She has a unique flair thanks to designer Frank Laupman [of Omega Architects]." The contemporary décor by Art-Line Interiors embraces a natural feel using muted tones, clean lines and large, open spaces. Light semi-gloss maple veneer and upholstered and lacquered walls form the backdrop. The owner’s stateroom is full beam on the main deck, adjacent to a private study. Guests are accommodated on the lower deck in two king-berth VIP staterooms and two twin rooms with additional Pullman berths. The main stairwell extends over three decks and features floating steps from the main to the bridge deck. The stern garage is designed to carry a 16- and a 20-foot tender. When opened, the garage door becomes a platform for launching water toys or lounging in the sun, beach-club style. Contact Heesen Yachts at 954-522-2300. www.heesenshipyards.nl |
