Waterfront: Como Hither

New Zealand’s Alloy Yachts splashed its largest motor yacht ever in November. The 41-meter (134-foot) Como was designed by Dubois Naval Architects with an interior by Redman Whiteley Dixon. She has a 6.2-foot draft, and her twin 1,550-hp Caterpillar C30 diesels supply her with a top speed of 17.5 knots and a 16-knot cruise. At 10 knots, her range is 4,000 nautical miles. Como has a master stateroom on the main deck with a large walk-in wardrobe and two ensuites with a central shower. Her guest accommodations on the lower deck feature two double staterooms and two twins, all with ensuite baths. Her main deck has an aft cockpit and an alfresco dining area with a sliding sunscreen. Her main salon has a bar aft and a separate dining area with seating for 10. She is equipped with Naiad stabilizers and bow and stern thrusters. Built to Lloyd’s classification, she complies with the Large Yacht Code.
