Waterfront: Delightfully Deceptive
Horizon's smallest is a big boat in disguise.

Article Specs Design
Horizon 62
The full-height transom door flanked by teak-planked stairs leading from the wide teak swim platform to the spacious aft deck suggests you’re on a 90-footer. In reality, it’s the stern of the new Horizon 620. And it’s not a façade; behind the door lie crew quarters, ample storage and access to a good-sized engine room.

Horizon offers a variety of layout and surface-treatment options for the 620 that can be further modified to adapt to the owner’s onboard lifestyle. The salon can be configured with an 11-foot long sofa or split couches. Both plans feature a galley to starboard facing a port dinette with either a U-shaped settee or a curved, café-style bench. A center-mounted helm puts the driver closer to diners; if you prefer, a two-person bench seat offset to starboard privatizes the driving.

The flybridge’s wet bar includes a double barbecue and is surrounded by settees that seat 12 under an optional hard top. The aft deck is long enough to provide complete cover for the main deck below and to store a tender if needed.

Three staterooms on the lower deck sleep six. The full-beam amidships master is offered with the bed angled off the bulkhead, as well as a more conventional centerline installation. The ensuite VIP is forward and a twin cabin is to port.

The owners of hull number one are from the Pacific Northwest and cruised Alaskan waters during their first season aboard. Glossy cherry joinery highlighted by dramatic Italian ebony marble decorates their yacht’s interior. For power, they selected twin 800-hp Caterpillar 3406E engines that deliver a swift top speed of 22 knots.

The 620 benefits from Horizon’s SCRIMP resin-infused molding construction process, producing a strong, durable, weight-conscious yacht.
