Waterfront: Dream Come True
Tom Bakker-designed Loie B delivered to owners.

West Bay SonShip 90
When Tom Bakker of Tom Bakker Design Ltd. met with the owners of Loie B three years ago, theirs was a dream lacking form. After countless hours of meeting, sketching and throwing around ideas, Bakker flushed out every detail of their dream and delivered it back in the form of a 90-foot motor yacht, built by now-defunct West Bay SonShip.

Every aspect of her interior is custom, from the hand-selected makoré and teak to the specially machined, lightweight granite slabs that cover her floors and countertops. The sections of flooring done in stone meet the walls with granite baseboards that wrap around her various fluted columns. Bakker added three vertical portlights along the sides of the full-beam master and extended the bulwarks for the bridge and bridge deck in order to ensure that Loie B’s interior had the specified feel and look.
