De Vries Lentsch Designs Griffioen Based on Past Favorites.
Waterfront: Dutch Revival

Bloemsma & van Breemen 90
Dutch builder Bloemsma & van Breemen, upon its recent launch of 90-foot (27.3-meter) Griffioen, predicted that she will lead a revival of classic De Vries Lentsch designs. Yet the jaunty new motor yacht with her traditional lines and canoe stern is very much a product of contemporary technology. Griffioen was built of aluminum to Lloyd’s and MCA regulations. She features hydraulic carbon-fiber masts that fold to give her a maximum height of 19.7 feet for bridge clearance.

The De Vries Lentsch design firm provided both the styling and naval architecture for the long-range yacht—as well as her matching custom tender. Powered by a single 1,350-rpm Kelvin engine, Griffioen provides a 4,700-nm range at 10 knots. A high-tech stabilization system keeps her rock-steady while at anchor. Her comfortable interior is the work of another Dutch designer, Felix Buytendijk.
