Newcastle’s Rugged True North Is Ready for Adventure.

Newcastle Marine 137
The flagship yacht in Newcastle Marine’s Expedition Series, 137-foot (41.8-meter) True North, has launched at the Palm Coast, Florida, shipyard. Designed by Luiz de Basto, the full ABS-classed yacht has a go-anywhere steel displacement hull and aluminum superstructure. Twin Caterpillar 3412E engines give her a 14-knot top end and a cruise of 10 knots, while ZeroSpeed quad stabilizer fins provide a comfortable ride. Her owner plans to make good use of her 4,000-nm range cruising in North and South America. (Click image to enlarge)

True North’s classic mahogany interior is built for relaxation. She offers four guest suites plus a meditation room on the lower deck. The large main-deck rooms include a country kitchen. The owner’s suite occupies the entire upper deck aft of the wheelhouse, featuring a king berth, office and balcony with alfresco dining area. The 1,000-square-foot sun deck has a bar and grill, hot tub and powder room. A 10,000-pound Marquipt crane stands by to launch the fleet of tenders: three WaveRunners, an 18-foot Hobie Cat and a 32-foot Novurania.
