RM Elegant lands on the charter scene dressed to impress for business or pleasure.

Waterfront: Greek Goddess

Article Specs Design
Lamda 237
The Hellenic registry of 237-foot RM Elegant is the final guarantee that this steel yacht, refit in 2005, is every bit a product of Greece. Built by Lamda Shipyard in Elefsina, Greece, her futuristic profile and interior design is the work of Greek native Lally Poulias—the designer responsible for 280-foot motor yacht Annaliesse.

With naval architecture by Nafpigiki Hellas and mechanical engineering by W.E.M. Lines, RM Elegant was purpose-built for chartering. Accommodations for 30 make her ideal for business groups that will make good use of her complete onboard business center, which affords users the ability to virtually run a company at sea.

But she is not merely a floating office building. Her amenities include a beauty salon, a spa with sauna and a gym. With both a gourmet chef and pastry chef in her crew of 30, meals are more than just nourishment; they are an event. Some 2,690 square feet of sun deck can host activities from live music and dancing to relaxing in a 12-person spa pool or even clay-pigeon shooting. Three RIBs, three PWCs and a vast array of other water toys put guests in touch with the marine environment. (Click image to enlarge)

The bridge-deck salon offers relaxation in stately ambience with velvet drapes, leather furnishings, an open fireplace, an extensive library and a parquet floor. The main salon is equally classic, finished in rich, inlaid brushed oak, silk curtains and traditionally styled furniture.

Guest accommodations comprise 15 total cabins. An owner’s suite, referred to as the Diamond Suite, is located on the bridge deck. The VIP suite, or Ruby Suite, features an adjacent sitting room and is found on the salon deck. Eight additional staterooms on the salon deck and five on the main deck are arranged with twin and double berths.
