Italian Builder’s Third S/Y in Series Improves a Good Product.
Waterfront: Heart of a Sailor

Perini Navi 184
Perini Navi closed 2005 with the launch of Rosehearty, the third sailing yacht in its 56-meter aluminum series. Sistership to Burrasca and Santa Maria, the ketch bears architectural changes by Ron Holland that improve her performance when under sail. Displacing 535 tons, she utilizes a deep-ballasted swing keel set in a shoal-ballasted fixed keel. The ketch draws 9.7 meters with her keel down and 3.9 meters with it raised. Built to MCA standards and classed as ABS A1 Yachting Service AMS, Rosehearty shows Perini’s hallmark sheerline, overhangs (she sports just under 47 meters at her waterline) and flying bridge.

The interior design, created by Christian Liaigre of France, is an original combination of traditional and contemporary marine elegance and includes an owner’s suite and five double guest rooms on a beam of 11.5 meters. The main deck includes the main salon, enclosed dining area and a small office.

Rosehearty is outfitted with servo-assisted sail control and furling, Perini aluminum masts, the latest in-boom furling for the mainsail and mizzen, as well as captive reel winches. She also features the first two carbon-fiber booms manufactured by Perini Navi at its new tunnel at Viareggio. Her sail plan covers 1,560 square meters (16,792 square feet). She has a range of 3,600 nautical miles at 13 knots.
