Named with the Frisian word for the Dutch island of Terschelling in the North Sea,
Skylge is the latest launch of Dutch shipyard
Holland Jachtbouw. Topped by a carbon mast and complex rigging, the 141-foot
Andre Hoek–designed schooner is built of aluminum to MCA code and features slim,
low-freeboard lines, long overhangs and a modest pilothouse. She is rigged with
popular high-aspect mainsails and roached foresails, while a lifting keel offers
access to shallow waters. Ever versatile, the reverse transom schooner is ideal
for racing as well as family cruising and charter. Her stately cherry veneer
interior comprises an owner’s stateroom, VIP suite and two guest cabins.
Following her launch, Skylge made her maiden
voyage to Spain and then headed to the Caribbean. Holland Jachtbouw |
