Moonen Delivers Its First-Ever Explorer-Style Yacht.
Waterfront: Ice Breaker

Moonen 114
Moonen Shipyards recently launched the 114-foot (34.7-meter) My Issue for a repeat client. René van der Velden designed the yard’s first explorer-type yacht, with naval architecture by Stolk Marimecs. The aluminum superstructure sits on a round-bilge steel hull, and at 260 tons she is the heaviest displacement yacht so far from Moonen. Reinforced bow plating over smaller, closely spaced frames in its forward half earned the yacht a Lloyd’s Register Ice Class certificate. The bridge deck includes an octagonal skylounge and a spacious alfresco aft deck under cover of an overhang. Operations are kept in the wheelhouse, while the flybridge stores the tender and holds a Jacuzzi, settee and a wet bar. The owner’s suite is full beam and on the main deck. Guests are berthed on the lower deck in four ensuite double cabins.

My Issue cruises at 12 knots with a pair of 600 series MTU engines. With 11,887 U.S. gallons of fuel, she has a range of 4,500 miles at 10 knots.
