Built by Turkish shipyard R.B. Dereli Yachts, the 128-foot sloop has a state-of-the-art hull engineered by composite specialist High Modulus, incorporating epoxy and carbon fiber. Both the hull and the deck, which features a teak overlay, were laid up using vacuum-bag technology. MuMu is built to ABS +A1 sailing yacht classification.

Her 155-foot mast and wide Park Avenue boom manufactured by Nirvana Spars support 6,500 square feet of working sail designed by Doyle Sailmakers and controlled by high-tech hydraulics. The rig is counterbalanced by a bulb-and-fin keel with more than 49 tons of lead ballast. In a moderate breeze, MuMu is capable of sailing at speeds of up to 16 knots. Under power, her Caterpillar 3406E main engine provides a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles at 10.5 knots.

Within MuMu’s maple-and-pearwood interior, styled by French designer Eva Cadio, you would never know you were on a high-performance sailing yacht. Cadio took full advantage of the inner volume MuMu’s 29-foot beam affords to create luxurious cruising quarters for eight, highlighted by a full-beam owner’s suite with king berth and white marble–lined bath. Six guests are billeted in two double staterooms and a twin cabin, each with ensuite head. Crew quarters for six lie forward.

The main salon showcases MuMu’s enviable entertainment system, featuring a pop-up, 42-inch flat-screen TV and Anthem surround sound. Opposite is a contemporary dining area with glass-topped table for eight. A second, open-air dining and lounging salon on the aft deck is sheltered by a large, fixed sunshade.

MuMu made her debut on the international yachting scene at the 2005 Cannes Boat Show. She is offered for charter on a limited basis.
