One might expect anything
bearing the Feadship marque to sport substantial LOA, exceptional luxury and a
multitude of owner and guest accommodations. The first launch of the new
Feadship F45 Vantage semi-custom series fits the bill, but it also carries
aboard a smaller Feadship that would fit inside one of its well-appointed
staterooms.
The first Feadship F45, dubbed Space,
carries what is the smallest Feadship ever built in the form of a custom tender.
The 45-foot tender, designed by Ludo van Well, will serve as a multifunctional
sport boat and water limousine for up to 10 passengers. It has a catamaran hull
and runs on a single diesel with stern drive and tops out at 33 knots. A
hydraulic landing platform forward allows guests to alight on their favorite
beach.
The tender was created as a convenient solution to a challenge posed by
the F45’s giant stern hatch/swim platform. One caveat: You have to buy the
yacht to get the tender, but it’s worth it.
