Sun pads abound on Mamimo II for Mediterranean cruising. The top portion of the spacious aft sun pad lifts up to reveal storage for an 11.5-foot jet tender. Raising the pad’s top and bottom portions simultaneously provides access to the twin 2,400-hp MTU diesels. The engines, hooked up to Arneson ASD 15 surface-piercing drives, propel the 80 to a top speed of about 52 knots. The yacht’s deep-V hull culminates in a 24-degree deadrise at the transom. Cutting through two-foot chop at 42 knots, Mamimo II turns like she’s on rails. An aluminum mesh swim platform extends over the drives.

The remainder of the socializing cockpit is made up of settees and lounges, one of which includes a high-low table. The helm is to port and seats the helmsman and two guests. To starboard is a tandem observer’s seat. Alongside the helm is a stairway that leads to the opening windshield, providing access to the coachroof’s spacious sun pad.

Between the two staterooms are the galley and a dayhead. The salon stretches along the port side and features built-in couches and movable ottomans. The teak interior, which contrasts nicely against light fabric, imparts an inviting ambiance below.
