Øino and Zuretti Team Up on Lürssen’s Next Jumbo.

Of the 2,072 total feet Lürssen currently
has under construction, 220 belong to Marlin, a
contemporary-styled yacht with modern lines from Espen Øino. She features a
steel hull and aluminum superstructure. A 42-foot beam provides
Marlin with extraordinary volume, even by the exceptional standards applied to
yachts over 200 feet. Francois Zuretti designed Marlin’s interior,
holding true to a classic style. Her six decks include a bridge-deck VIP
stateroom, a main-deck owner’s suite and four lower-deck guest staterooms with
king-size berths. She also accommodates 19 crew. A round, glass elevator
dominates the lobby. A large pool with an integrated bar and Jacuzzi are just
two of the many outdoor amenities that will make this MCA-compliant yacht a hit
on the charter circuit. Twin Caterpillar engines, 1,875 horsepower each, will
give Marlin a top speed of 16 knots. Her range is 4,000 nautical miles at 12
knots. Lürssen’s last two launches were 295-foot Ice (formerly
Air)
and 207-foot Northern
