Italian yard launches a 40-meter semi-displacement yacht.

Waterfront: Mondomarine Launch

Mondomarine 131
Streamline, the full-aluminum, 40-meter motor yacht from Mondomarine, was launched by the Italian yard in Savona last May. The semi-displacement project is the result of a collaborative effort between Cor D. Rover for concept design and exterior styling, Frederic Mechiche and Luca Dini for the interior design, and Genoa-based Sydac for naval architecture.

The interior layout provides for a main salon and owner’s stateroom on the main deck, plus four guest cabins and accommodations for eight crew on the lower deck. Powered by twin 2,255-hp MTU 12V396 TE94 engines, Streamline has a maximum speed of 21 knots. Eight yachts are currently under construction at the Mondomarine yard, including Tribù, a 50-meter steel and aluminum full-displacement expedition vessel due for delivery later this year.
