Company christens new sailing yacht range with a 70-footer.
Waterfront: New Line from Van Dam Nordia

The Van Dam Nordia Shipyard started construction on the first of its new 70-foot Nordia Performance Cruisers. The 70-footer is the first in Van Dam Nordia’s new line of custom aluminum performance cruising yachts. The lightweight hull and Ballisto performance keel makes the Nordia Performance Cruiser a potent blend of performance racer and comfortable long-distance blue-water cruiser. A full carbon sloop rig offering a total sail area of nearly 400 square meters will give the yacht plenty of muscle. The rig is operated by a push-button sail-management system.

The first 70 was designed in the racing layout with two steering positions for improved visibility. Delivery is expected around July 2008.

Due to the growing demand for larger sailing yachts, Van Dam Nordia Shipyard’s in-house design team is currently developing a new flagship 120-foot Performance Cruiser.

The design presentation was scheduled for the Boot Düsseldorf boat show in January 2008.
