Two Design Firms Team Up on Feadship’s Latest Launch.
Waterfront: Odd Couple

Feadship 183
The design brief for the Feadship motor yacht Twizzle cited both originality and elegance. To achieve that, the owners paired the well-known marine design firm Redman Whiteley Dixon with Todhunter Earle, a notable Chelsea-based residential and commercial design firm with no marine experience. The result is an appealing blend of contemporary and classic themes executed in walnut and teak. Recently launched, the 182-foot yacht will soon embark on her scheduled three-year circumnavigation.

Twizzle is built in steel and aluminum to Lloyd’s 100A1 SSC classification and the MCA Code. Powered by twin 1,500-hp Cats, the De Voogt-designed, De Vries-built displacement vessel can cover 4,500 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots. (Click image to enlarge)

Christened with the owner’s daughter’s nickname, Twizzle features a main-deck master that includes sweeping views, a study and a bathroom with spa tub, shower and double basins. Four staterooms on the lower deck accommodate 10 guests.

Twizzle is equipped with KoopNautic at-anchor stabilizers, Inmarsat Fleet 77 technology, Crestron A/V systems and an array of toys and tenders, including two personal watercraft, two kayaks, two Laser sailboats, and one 14-foot Castoldi and two 21-foot tenders.
