New Zealand Yachts’ relationship with Ken Freivokh continues with the redesign of the
company’s Spirit Series line of wave-piercer yachts. The new line, called the S
Series, incorporates feedback from clients, the crew of the charter yacht
Spirit and industry professionals.
The line features a refined and simplified interior, as well as
improved performance and functionality. The yacht’s innovative swim platform has
undergone technical and operational improvements including the addition of
hydraulic screws that angle the deck while launching and retrieving tenders and
toys. The builder touts improved hull performance, which led to a seven percent
increase in efficiency over the previous design. The addition of small winglets
on the wave-piercing bows improved ride control and reduced pitching.
