Refit by a car enthusiast, Nice N Easy is fast-tracked for the charter market.

Waterfront: Ready to Run

Article Specs Design
Christensen 157
Christensen principal Henry Luken’s 157-foot Liquidity survived Hurricane Katrina with barely a nick. It was this exceptional level of quality that attracted Millennium Super Yachts’ co-owner John Rosatti. "Henry had built this for himself," Rosatti recalls, "and he wasn’t going to sell it. But I knew this was the boat that was right for me."

Luken relented, but only, according to broker Peter Kehoe, because Rosatti was a builder as well. "There’s no greater compliment for me than to have a yachtsman and builder of John’s caliber purchase the yacht," Luken says.

Rosatti was delighted by every detail, from her exquisitely joined black walnut panels to the nickel-insert marble work in the master bath. But he took on a three-month refit to personalize the now-named Nice N Easy and prepare her for charter. (Click image to enlarge)

A self-confessed "motor-head" and avid collector—and driver—of custom motorcycles and extreme hot rods, Rosatti put his automotive specialists to work refinishing both of the turbo-charged MTU diesels and all duct work in 304 high-buff stainless steel. Besides improving durability, the chromed look makes the engine room beautiful. The high-buff treatment is judiciously added to key external areas, such as the hawse eyes and a nameplate on the aft lower deck.

Also, the public areas on the main deck were opened. Removing the iron grates from the boat’s antique mirrors in the office, main salon and dining room, Rosatti redesigned the dining and seating areas, opting for custom walnut furniture with sofas and dining chairs in Ultrasuede. The skylounge was reconfigured with a conversation pit in the round. Sandblasted glass panels were added to the master bath.

"I can live on this boat," says Rosatti. "When I’m aboard, I just don’t want to leave."
