Waterfront: Salute the New Admiral
Italian builder to launch 32-knot, 44-meter, waterjet-powered motor yacht.

In February, the hull and superstructure of the new Admiral 44 WJ with a planing hull and waterjet propulsion arrived on a barge at the company’s yard in Lavagna, Italy, for fitting out. The company’s new flagship is built of aluminum alloy and carries 10 guests and eight crew. Among its many appealing features, the yacht has three opening ports: one for technical use, the aft main door that widens out into a platform that can be used as a beach, and a side opening near the bow on the main deck that forms a balcony in the owner’s cabin.

The yacht is powered by three MTU 16V2000 M93 diesels, each producing 2,400 horsepower and running through KaMeWa waterjets. She is expected to reach speeds of 32 knots. She was completed under the supervision of the American Bureau of Shipping, earning the ✠A1 Yachting Service AMS certification. She is scheduled for launch at the end of this year.
