YII Is Holland Jachtbouw’s First Dixon Design.
Waterfront: Signature Sloop

Holland Jachtbouw 121
The collaboration between Holland Jachtbouw and Dixon Design recently resulted in the launch of a sleek, high-performance sloop. The 37-meter (121-foot) YII weighs in at just 152 tons, thanks to her light-weight Alustar hull and Nomex-cored interior. The yacht’s tall rig and high sail area–to-displacement ratio is designed to make the most of the Mediterranean’s light summertime winds. Her shoal keel and ballast bulb were tank-tested for maximum stability and efficiency.

Dixon gave YII a clean, uncluttered exterior with a low freeboard, low-profile deckhouse and deck hardware that is either recessed or concealed.

John Munford handled the interior design, creating an ambiance that is both contemporary and warm. The pear and wengé joinery were left in their natural shades, inset with white panels, to brighten the rooms.

A raised salon and dining area share the deckhouse and are surrounded by windows. Below, four double staterooms lie forward while the roomy crew quarters and galley are aft.
