Holland’s Heesen Yachts in
January launched the 50-meter, semi-displacement, all-aluminum motor yacht
Galactica. She is the second yacht Heesen has built for the same owner
and the 133rd vessel launched at the Heesen facility.
The yacht’s interior is a contemporary design by Omega
Architects. The main deck has a full-beam owner’s stateroom equipped with a
full-beam bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and study. Two VIP doubles and two twin
guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms are on the lower deck. The wheelhouse deck
contains the wheelhouse, the captain’s cabin, a VIP guest stateroom, a dayhead
and a skylounge. The yacht has accommodations for four crew. Two MTU diesels
generate a top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 24.
