Briand Sloop Offers Commodious Accommodations.
Waterfront: Turkish Delight

R.B. DERELI 128
Turkish yard R.B. Dereli showed its diverse expertise with the recent launch of a Philippe Briand 128-foot composite performance sloop, MuMu, which was built for the yard’s owner. Engineered by High Modulus, she hoists 6,500 square feet of Doyle working sails on a 160-foot Nirvana spar. Her teak deck is divided by combings that define separate lounging and steering cockpits.

The contemporary sloping deckhouse encompasses a portside lounge and a navigation table; a desk is to starboard. The mahogany sole with pear trim contrasts with cream-colored leather upholstery, a theme that runs throughout the AC.T Studio-designed interior. A few steps forward is the main salon, with a dining table for eight and a spacious lounge, served by the convenient galley.

The master stateroom spans the stern’s beam and features a super king-size bed surrounded by maple paneling with pear trim. Just forward are one double and one twin VIP stateroom. A third guest cabin sleeps two forward of the salon.

A single 550-hp Caterpillar 3406E diesel engine provides power when needed, allowing MuMu to reach 12 knots.
