Heesen launches Sedation, debut build of its new 4400 series.

Heesen Yachts launched the
first of its new 4400 series motor yachts in June. The event marked the
136th yacht launched by the Dutch builder.
The new 44-meter yacht, christened Sedation,
features naval architecture by Heesen and interior and exterior design by Omega
Architects. In addition to her master stateroom, she can accommodate up to 10
guests in four lower-deck cabins and a skylounge that converts into a VIP. The
designers worked closely with the owners to create a unique ethnic style for
the interior using textured, crushed bamboo combined with straight interior
details. A pair of MTU 16V4000s power the yacht to a top speed of 25 knots.
Six 4400s have been sold since the series’ introduction.
