Waterfront: Worthy Successor
Stefano Righini and Carlo Galeazzi Team Up to Create the New Triple- Digit for Azimut.

Azimut 105
Replacing a known quantity is always risky. Success, such as Jay Leno supplanting Johnny Carson on "The Tonight Show," can mean big bucks. Failure means fiscal and brand damage: Remember New Coke? Thus, Azimut planned well its successor to the popular 100 Jumbo motor yacht
(35 units over 10 years) – a Stefano Righini-designed 105-foot semi-
displacement yacht.

A variation on the raised pilothouse, the 105 includes a split-level fully covered flybridge sun deck. In the five-stateroom configuration, the owner’s suite is forward on the main deck and features a sunken head. The four ensuite guest staterooms are belowdecks along with accommodation for eight crew. The four-stateroom layout puts the master, guestrooms and crew berths on the lower deck, adding a forward media room to the main-deck salon, dining room and galley.

Carlo Galeazzi’s interior extends design elements originally created for the Azimut 75. Matte-finished cherry joinery surrounds movable furniture. Leather inserts highlight neutral fabrics, stateroom drapes sweep the floor, and the bathrooms feature modern square fittings and accessories.

The composite-hulled 105 has a 21-foot beam and cruises at 24 knots on a pair of 2,000-hp MTU diesels.
