CNL 103 Alila, the name of the new Admiral 32 from Cantieri Navali Lavagna, means "an amazing or happy experience" in Indonesian. And with her airy and contemporary interior by designer Luca Dini, she is certainly a refreshing experience for those who are familiar with the classic interiors of past Admirals. The change marks a drive by CNL to appeal to a younger clientele.
Mirrored white lacquer ceilings reflect the ambient light, while the natural tones of the leather upholstery and coconut-fiber carpeting lend warmth to the interior despite its very linear layout. Italian designer labels abound in the Poltrona Frau sofas, Pratesi bed linens, Tearose di Milano ornaments and custom Schiffini galley. A recurring leitmotif is the "C" of leather tiles that partially covers floors, bulkheads and ceilings in the salon and cabins, which serves to break up the volumes and disguise the recessed lighting. The forward master suite on the main deck features a walk-in closet and transparent bathroom-shower glass that can turn opaque at the touch of a switch, thanks to LC technology. The lower deck houses two identical twin single cabins and a forward VIP cabin. Unusually, the latter also has single beds, but in terms of size and comfort it could easily double as a master suite. The spacious and well-appointed crew quarters (with a double cabin for the captain) are positioned between the guest area and the engine room and have separate access to the main deck, engine room and garage. This affords owners and guests greater privacy and substantially quieter cabins while under way. An alternative layout offers four guest cabins. Built entirely of light aluminum alloy, the Admiral 32 is
powered by twin 2,285-hp MTU diesels that propel her to a top speed of 29 knots.
The yacht was built under ABS supervision for A1 Yachting Service AMS certification. CNL |
