  • New Zealand Marine Export Group announces that Lane Finley will step down as executive director to join the Pacific Superyacht Rally as rally director. The group names Kevin McPherson as its general manager.   • At the 2004 Genoa International Boat Show in October, Pershing and Murphy&Nye announced plans for a co-marketing operation. The partnership will create a line of technical yacht wear for Pershing, exclusively produced by Murphy&Nye. The first jacket in the new technical line features an ergonomic design with 3-D preformed slits at the elbows and adjustable cuffs, which provide complete freedom of movement.   • The BMW ORACLE Racing team appoints Henri-Lloyd as its technology partner for its America’s Cup challenge in 2007 in Valencia, Italy.
