Norberto Ferretti inaugurates The Ferretti Group’s new Forlí, Italy, production site.
November 2005

  • Over the summer, The Ferretti Group inaugurated an addition to its Forlí production site. The new facility houses one of Europe’s largest and most progressive five-axis milling machines, which will be used to build the wooden models for all of the group’s new yachts. It will enable engineers to mill models for boat hulls up to 98 feet. Visit www.ferrettigroup.com.

  • Vancouver is the new home of Australia’s Juston Yacht Design. The decision to relocate from Sydney was a result of its acquisition by Mercator Studios. “For us, the merger blends practical experience, solid financial backing and support from a larger team—all within reach of the North American and European markets,” explains Juston. The move triggered new projects, including an 80-knot sedan power catamaran.
