  • Quantum Stabilizers opened a new office in the Netherlands. With more than 115 ZeroSpeed and OnAnchor systems installed on vessels that are either based or spend time in European waters, the new division focuses on service and support for customers on the continent, and provides ongoing support for new-construction projects.   • The third St. Maarten Charter Yacht Exhibition (SCYE) will be held December 2 to 5. Registration for the annual event is now open. The 2006 SCYE show will again be centered in Port de Plaisance.   • The Sacks Group celebrates Julie J. Haiko’s 10th year at the company. Haiko is currently the executive assistant for Jennifer Saia, Sacks president and charter specialist. Joining the group as the firm’s third employee, Haiko has been an integral part of its success. Visit www.sacksyachts.com

  • The Crew Network Antibes (a division of Fraser Yachts Worldwide) appointed Helen Robertson as the new manager focusing on the ongoing development of crewing operations in the south of France and neighboring areas.   • International Marine Services (IMS) acquired the Couach Group a year ago. Since September 2005, French yachtbuilder Couach has enjoyed the symbiotic relationship, providing its customers in the Mediterranean with a large range of services through the IMS Couach Yacht Center.   • Burger Boat Company recently announced an alliance with Strategically Armored and Fortified Environments (SAFE), a company that deals with residential and yacht security. SAFE’s security designs prevent anyone from approaching the yacht at sea, boarding the boat or causing personal injury.
