Taiwanese Builder and C. Raymond Hunt Team Up for 68-Foot Express.

Global Yacht Builders of Taiwan began construction last year on
the first hull of a new line of high-performance express cruisers designed by C.
Raymond Hunt & Associates. The yacht, called the GLOBALarrow 68, is the
latest iteration of Hunt’s high-deadrise deep-V hull. Fitted with prop tunnels
for reduced draft, the yacht’s standard power comes from twin 1,572-hp
Caterpillar C32 diesels that will carry her to a top speed of 33 knots. The
first model to arrive in the United States will feature an up-galley, a
full- beam master stateroom, a forward VIP and a comfortable guest twin. A second
three-stateroom layout has the galley down. Both have crew quarters aft with a
separate entrance that can be converted to a tender garage or utility space. The
GLOBALarrow 68 is expected to make her debut at the Newport International Boat
Show in September.
