An upscale destination for yachts ranging up to 61 meters is being developed in Ensenada, Mexico, an hour south of the California border. Porto Hussong will feature a 250-slip marina set amid a luxury oceanfront resort that also includes a five-star boutique hotel, private villas, condominiums, a fractional residence club and fine restaurants. Meridian Development Group LLC is overseeing the project in conjunction with the Hussong family—prominent Ensenada citizens since they opened the famous Hussong’s Cantina in 1892. The marina, designed by John C. Corrough, will provide a modern gateway to Baja’s rich sportfishing and cruising grounds.
