Smile Maker, the third build in NorthStar Yachts’ 100-foot series, is currently under construction at the Kalama, Washington, shipyard. Intended for offshore cruising, the Jack Sarin-designed pilothouse motor yacht will be equipped with twin 1,480-hp MTU 12V 2000 diesel engines. Extensive use of Soundown products throughout the vessel will ensure a quiet ride.

She features a 22-foot, 10-inch beam and a well-thought-out plan that includes a generous flybridge, roomy pilothouse, full walkaround decks and five staterooms that sleep 11 people. Unusually, the yacht has three full galleys: a guest galley forward, the chef’s gourmet galley on the main deck and a crew galley aft. Crew quarters for four are aft of the engine room. Smile Maker will launch later this year, with sea trials taking place in the Columbia River Bar.
